How to Strengthen Your Relationship with Allah this Ramadan

Strengthen Relationship with Allah (SWT)

A man’s strengthen relationship with Allah is the greatest and purest relationship of all. Allah (SWT) is the Almighty, the most Beneficent, and the most Merciful. Build a strong relationship with the Lord by talking to him like He is your sole confidante. During times of happiness, sorrows, and hardship, remember Allah. Ramadan is the blessed month that allows a Muslim to reinvigorate his strengthen relationship with Allah (SWT) through various deeds.

Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW)

If you wish to please Allah and make him happy then follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Adopt his practices and work towards becoming a better Muslim to show your love towards Allah (SWT).

Constant Zikr Towards Forgiveness

The best way to alleviate anxiety and or any tension is to constantly do zikr. Zikr is the remembrance of Allah (SWT). It calms the mind and helps one to think clearly during times when you feel helpless or lost. Recite Tasbeeh, Astaghfaar, and thank Allah for his countless blessings. Worship in gatherings to multiply the rewards. According to the Prophet’s hadith,

“Whenever some people gather in one of Allah’s houses (mosques) to recite the book of Allah and study it among themselves – then calmness (tranquility) descends upon them, the angels surround them, mercy covers them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him.” [Sahih Muslim]

Engage in Frequent Dua

Dua has the power to heal one’s pain and sorrow. There are times when we are surrounded by darkness and despair and it is dua that shows us that silver lining, that light at the end of the dark tunnel. Allah tells us to supplicate to him regardless of your situation. Be it happiness or sorrow, dua brings you closer to Allah.

Put Your Inner Demons to Rest

During the month of Ramadan, the gates of heaven are open whilst those of hell are closed and the devil is chained.

“When the month of Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of the (Hell) Fire are closed, and the devils are chained.” [SahihBukhari] The devil in this situation also metaphorically encompasses one’s inner demons that provoke them to do wrong and unlawful things.
